Cash is King – from local ATMs
There are plenty of ATM in Maputo that accepts Visa and MasterCard, so to avoid carrying around a lot of cash, it is convenient to just withdraw money upon arrival. There are ATMs at the aiport and close to Fátimas. If you would like to bring some cash with you, bring US$ or Euros that you can exchange to Meticais (MZN), at the airport or at local markets. For the non included meals it is recomended to bring 25-30€ for the week. On top of this you can bring extra money for drink, snacks and souvenirs.
