MOZ GOT THE BEAT!

Moz Got the Beat is a vibrant celebration of Mozambique’s rich cultural rhythm, where traditional and contemporary sounds meet the pulse of the people. The edition 2026 of Masx brings together dancers, musicians, and creatives from across the country and beyond, to explore the heartbeat of Mozambican identity through Afro Swing, Mozambican dances, Lindy Hop, and more.
Over several days, participants will immerse themselves in live performances, dance workshops, percussion circles, cultural talks, and open-air parties — all rooted in the power of rhythm to connect, express, and transform.
From the bustling streets of Maputo to the ancestral beats of the north, Moz Got the Beat invites you to move, feel, and live the music and dance that flows through Mozambique’s soul.
Masx is not just a festival — it’s a movement.

“After MASX I gained a responsibility inside of me; to never let Swing die in Mozambique”
– David Abiatar Massingue, Mozambique

“I would highly recommend anyone to experience MASX, it is so much more than a dance camp. To meet and experience the amazing spirit and vibe these dancers and musicians have is mind-blowing. Everything, from the food to the dance classes themselves, could be a life changing event. I have truly made friends for life in this pulsating event called MASX.”
– Billy Johansson, Sweden

– With MASX you really get to learn, live and experience the beauty of mozambican culture, of togetherness, humbleness, typical food and mostly, smiles and love.
